Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team. Automotive or Logistics experience is highly desirable.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- ICAN qualified – ACA is required.
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant post-ICAN qualification experience.
- Automotive industry experience is mandatory.
- Automotive or Logistics experience is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in fleet accounting, including vehicle acquisition costs, maintenance costs, fuel expenses, depreciation, repairs, and fleet-related operating expenses.
- Practical experience in manufacturing accounting, including production costs, raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), finished goods, inventory valuation, and cost of production.
- Strong experience in inventory and stock accounting, including reconciliation and variance analysis.
- Experience in fixed asset accounting, particularly vehicle and plant/equipment assets.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, general ledger, and month-end closing.
- Experience preparing management accounts, financial reports, budgets, and financial analysis.
- Ability to perform cost analysis, variance analysis, reconciliations, and financial controls.
- Experience with accounting software/ERP systems; Zoho Books experience is an advantage.
- Strong Excel skills, including the ability to work with financial data and reports.
- Good understanding of IFRS and Nigerian tax/accounting requirements.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict reporting deadlines.
- Must reside in Lagos.
- Must be available to resume immediately.
