Finance & Admin Volunteer at Bridgeway Impact & Empowerment Foundation
Job Description
Bridgeway Foundation is seeking a
The successful candidates will:
- Support the Finance and Administration team with day-to-day financial and administrative tasks.
- Assist with recording and organising financial transactions and maintaining accurate supporting documentation.
- Support the preparation and filing of payment vouchers, receipts, invoices, quotations and other financial documents.
- Assist with bank reconciliations, cash records and routine financial checks in line with finance handbook.
- Support the preparation and updating of budget monitoring and expenditure tracking tools.
- Assist with procurement processes, including obtaining quotations, preparing procurement documentation and maintaining procurement files.
- Help maintain well-organised electronic and physical filing systems for financial, procurement and administrative documents.
- Support the preparation of routine finance and administration reports and other documentation as required.
- Assist with office administration, inventory and asset records, logistics and general operational support.
- Support the team in ensuring that financial and administrative processes follow Bridgeway Foundation's policies, procedures and approval requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise care when handling financial, staff and organisational information.
- Support internal checks, audits and other compliance activities when required.
- Carry out other reasonable finance and administrative duties assigned by the supervisor.
Applicants should possess:
- A minimum of HND or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Management or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting and financial management principles.
- Previous volunteer, internship or work experience in finance, administration, procurement or a non-profit organisation is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Good attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative and work as part of a small team.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Hausa is an advantage.
